November 26, 2016- ChillFest returns to Wicker Park and Bucktown today. Beginning at 12pm and running until 6pm, over 60 live acoustic musical acts will perform throughout the neighborhood.- in a variety of different shops, restaurants and bars including: Takito Kitchen, Spex, Emporium and Coast Sushi. You can find the full schedule here.

But that's not all. Today is Small Business Saturday. Small Business Saturday focuses the holiday season back on communities and those independent and locally-owned businesses that make the neighborhoods the special places they are. Small retailers rely heavily on holiday sales to carry them through the year. So be sure to stop by the many small retailers throughout Wicker Park and Bucktown today and show them some holiday love.

Here's an example of the types of Small Business Saturday special events you'll find in the neighborhood today. At Bucktown's Virtu, Frank Catalano (and friends) will be playing at Virtu from 3 to 5 pm today. Called the John Coltrane of the 21st century, Frank has teamed up with Jimmy Chamberlin of the Smashing Pumpkins for a series of records which, not surprisingly, consistently hang out in the Billboard Jazz charts top ten. A few limited edition pressings of his vinyl will be available on Saturday at Virtu. And, oh, by the way, the covers are done by none other than Chicago legend, Tony Fitzpatrick.

They will also be serving old school cookies and cocoa, provided courtesy of Bucktown's very own Club Lucky. Early shoppers will receive this year's edition of the Shop Small tote designed by Rifle Paper Co. Those will be available on a first come-first served basis. Virtu is located at 2035 N. Damen Avenue in Bucktown.

That's just an example of what you'll find in the neighborhood today, Small Business Saturday. So be sure to head out to Wicker Park and Bucktown's small independent shops for Chillfest's acoustic sets and to show your support of your local small businesses.
